Governor Cuomo goes kosher!

News

In a surprise move New York, Governor Cuomo has signed part of the ancient Hebrew code into law under Executive Order 202.17(a), modifying order 202.17 which mandates New Yorkers to wear masks in public.

The governor has previously drawn the ire of Jewish communities by his controversial bail reform programme which led to numerous anti-Semitic attackers avoiding incarceration and repeating their attacks.

However, this recent executive order represents a complete about turn. The new legislation copies Leviticus 13:45 almost verbatim:

“Anyone who even thinks they might have COVID-19 or has been accused of having COVID-19 must wear torn clothes, let their hair be unkempt, cover the lower part of their face (minimum N95) and cry out, ‘Unclean! Unclean!'”

A spokesperson for Governor Cuomo stated, “The governor had a change of heart after realising the seven day isolation requirements contained in the Mosaic Law were way ahead of its time.”
