Shock as nation discovers Christian schools teach Christianity!

America is in uproar that Karen Pence, wife of vice-president Mike Pence, has chosen to teach art at Immanuel Christian School, a private school in Springfield, Virginia.

This school has the audacity to teach the Bible as the Word of God and expect people to obey the Bible – even the teachers!  In fact the school insists applicants initial a pledge to “live a personal life of moral purity.” 

CNN commented, “It is outrageous that Christian schools expect people in this day and age to conform to a set of moral standards set by the Bible.  The language of moral purity is disgusting and insults millions of taxpaying American citizens.”

Ted Lieu, California’s representative said “I’m a follower of Christ and Jesus said lots about love and nothing about sexual immorality, apart from those three times in Matthew.  And Jesus certainly never meant those Old Testament passages as he was a white American and not a Torah following Jew!”

The NBC said Christian school’s policies were “out of touch with most religious Americans and they should get with the times.”

And finally, the Huffpost was scathing, “We’ve had the good sense to ban prayer and Bibles from state schools it’s time that Christian schools should be forced to do the same!”
