Sam Smith inspires fellow celebrity to come out as gender binary
In an Instagram post on Friday, the British singer Sam Smith, announced that their chosen pronoun was “they/them”.
This follows some six months after Smith revealed in an interview with actress Jameela Jamil that he was non-binary. “I’m not male or female. I think I float somewhere in between.”
After Sam Smith’s brave stand coming out, fellow celebrity Jeezy Breezy was inspired to come out as gender binary, “After a lifetime of being at war with my gender I’ve decided to embrace myself for who I am, inside and out.”
This follows years of struggle in the Industry after being born a white male, “The industry just assumes you’re gender diverse – to come out as cis-male and a white one at that is to make you a target of feminists, woke activists and charities like Mermaids and Stonewall.”
“Progressive parents are often disappointed after the birth of a white baby boy and there is always that stigma growing up a man that says, ‘you are the problem.’Â I tried to hide my gender for years to be accepted amongst my creative peers but in the end I couldn’t deny what I saw every time I went to the toilet.”
Like Sam Smith, Jeezy considered a sex-change operation: “I thought about having it all chopped off so that I’d look like an action man (GI Joe for my American fans). However, I knew that would create other problems.”
We asked how Jeezy feels after this momentous moment:
“I’m scared witless but feeling super free right now. I may have killed my career but I hope my brave decision encourages other straight males to also come out and stand proud of who God made them to be.”
