Feminists thank BBC for fiddling its salary figures

News

Feminists are delighted that the BBC has fiddled its salary reporting so that more women appear in the top 10 of its highest earners.

The BBC has achieved this noble aim by ensuring that more men are employed through BBC Studios, its independent production company, which is not required to disclose its salaries.

Gary Lineker still tops the list on £1.75million but Zoe Ball, Claudia Winkleman and Vanessa Feltz made it into the top 10 this year.

BBC Director-General Tony Hall stated in the BBC annual report, “Last year there were no women in the top ten, this year there are three. This is rapid change.”

A spokesperson for the BBC added, “No fiddle is too small for us to use so that we can virtue-signal how much women mean to us.”
